Viva la Dance Dance Revolution! This week we’re discussing a game that is as well known by it’s name as it is by the sight of people playing it. We’re discussing Dance Dance Revolution with actor, writer, and DDR prodigy Nicole Lauria.
On this episode Nicole remembers her early obsession for a portable screen that she had for her Gamecube. Her and Conner also shout out the 90s fun zone hit “Discovery Zone”, Nicole discusses her PS2 simply acting as a DDR machine, and how years later she redeemed herself when she found a DDR machine in an unexpected place.

You know what they say, “2 is better than one”. That’s why on today’s episode writer and co-host of the Crossover podcast Chris Eddins joins us to discuss Halo 2, the widely-anticipated follow up to one of the most iconic games of all time. Pew Pew, baby.
Conner and Chris get to the bottom of a lot. They talk openly about the well-known fact that the Mob recruits from Gamestop and not the other way around. Chris tells Conner about the time a guy at an arcade pulled the most confident power move of all time and also reminisces about playing Halo 2 on a laptop during school as a warm-up for the inevitable xbox live session later that evening.

It’s about time that we discuss one of the premiere Nintendo franchises in recent memory. Plus if we don’t then all the sword boys from Smash might come for us. Thankfully our wonderful guest Adam Winney has saved us! This week we’re discussing Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword on the Gameboy Advance.
On this episode Adam shares about playing video games with his brother’s friends, ranks his favorite Fire Emblem games, and tells a story about meeting a fellow Fire Emblem player in the least likely of circumstances.

If we’re being honest, we could all use a relaxing vacation from time to time. So it should come to no surprise that even our greatest heroes also can use the occasional break. Unfortunately when Mario and Peach traveled to Isle Delfino for just that, things didn’t go as planned. This week we’re of course talking about Super Mario Sunshine with actor, comedian, and recreation adorer Madison Lanesey.
On this episode Madison tells the recent tale of realizing that she is in fact a gamer. The Mad-heads out there will be thrilled because we hear the latest about the infamous Jason. She also tells us the romantic tale of inheriting a car named Epona, discusses her childhood room of choice known as “the loft”, and shares about playing a game that she only really watched her sister play growing up.

To some, this might be considered a scary episode because to record it we had to enter a scary haunted hotel and save our friends. Luckily, we weren’t alone! This week we’re joined by comedian, rapper, and liaison of cool Dalia Malek to talk about Luigi’s Mansion 3 for the Nintendo Switch. And yes, Googi is as cool in person as he seems in the game.
On this episode Dalia tells Conner how frantically refreshing web browsers led to the miracle of her finding a Switch during quarantine, how Luigi’s scaredy cat nature is full of charm, and explains the fun of playing this game in co-op and using our hero Gooigi. Of course, Conner is sure to reminisce with Dalia about their early days of improv which feels insane that they were 5 years ago. This episode rules. It’s not every day you get a rapper on your podcast.

Look, we know that video games can help forge strong friendships in the fire and brimstone of pixels. We also know that without another bud that there’s nothing to forge. This all makes sense, right? On this episode Conner is joined by old video game buddy and father to Odeon.tv Reilly Smith to talk about Warcraft III from 2002.
Reilly and Conner start out by remembering how their friendship was codified by their mutual excitement for the recently announced Nintendo Switch back in 2016 and how they are certain the Switch commercial during the Falcons / Patriots Super Bowl turned the fate of the game itself. Reilly also discusses getting consumed by Warcraft III and becoming a part of the Wuffle clan, talks about the RTS aspects of this game that made it addicting, and how despite the re-release being a disappointment it was not able to taint the legacy of the original.

Enjoy this preview of the DJ Toad-tier Patreon exclusive episode where we deep dive into the Shadow of the Colossus. Patreon tiers and info available HERE.
Unlike the subject of this episode, we shall not fall. We’re here with the latest co-op deep dive and oh boy is this a great one. Roxy Polk, Alec Robbins, and Cody Ziglar all join Conner to talk about one of the more revered games of all time, Shadow of the Colossus. Don’t you worry, we absolutely make time to discuss the Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle vehicle “Reign Over Me”. That’s why you’re here, isn’t it?
This episode’s crew of wanderers discuss different subjects such as how this game teaches you so much by telling you so little, how it actually makes the player feel remorse for toppling the Colossi, and of course our crew basks in the glory of a few favorite Colossi that stand tall (hehe) above the rest. It’s an absolute banger and we hope you enjoy! Absolutely check out this wonderful video from Jacob Geller as well.

If in 1999 someone were to tell you a 3D Pokémon game was coming to the Nintendo 64, you’d be LYING if you said you hoped it was anything other than a Pokémon photography game. This week we’re heading to Pokémon Island and getting into some Pokémon Snap with the great Charles Mockler.
This week Charles and Conner reminisce on just how dang cool it was to even be looking at living 3D Pokémon back in the day. Charles also discusses how this game’s unique traits made it stand out as a kid, how Pokémon Blue was the first game that he got sucked into that wasn’t sports related, and shares how strongly he feels that this game was secretly made for Adults who need to chill out.

Get your butts up and get ready to shake them among other parts of yourself because we’re dancing! How’s that for an opener? Pretty bad… I know. Anyway, we’re dancing for joy this week because we’re joined by one of the purest souls and best improvisers in the world Genetra Tull to talk about Just Dance 2020.
On this episode old comedy buds Conner and Genetra give the LA improv nerds what they’ve been begging for: close to 30 cumulative minutes of reminiscing about shows, teams, and people they love from the art form clinging to dear life. Genetra also tells the tale of how show favorite Oscar Montoya and buddy Daryl Jim Diaz introduced her to this game, how they would play remotely once the pandemic started, and how her sister gifted her a Nintendo Switch leading to some great Luigi’s Mansion 3 co-op.
