KaaaaaaaaameeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaameeeeeeeHAAAAA!
That was worth it. On today’s episode of Call Me By Your Game we are joined by the charming comedian, Seattle stalwart, and co-host of the Reactivaders podcast, Tyler Schnupp. Tyler hopped on the show to discuss none other than Dragon Ball Z Budokai (2002).
During our chat Tyler discusses his mom conveniently buying him a Pokemon game so that his brother would have someone to play with, how while working a job at a day bar he would play a ton of 3DS games, and dives into how he got into DBZ in the first place.

If you believe you must be big in order to be tough, then you should get to know her. She’ll teach you other stuff! She’s Madeline and though she’s very small, inside she’s tall. She may be very tiny. She may be petite. Do you understand how small this child is? We can barely see her! That aside, we’re thrilled to be discussing everyone’s favorite French orphan in her best game. Today we’re joined by the brilliant actor, writer, and co-host of the P.S. I love Rom Coms podcast Allie Jennings to discuss Madeline’s European Adventure (1995).
Allie wasted no time in earning brownie points with the show by telling us she’s been browsing the internet to buy a Nintendo GameCube, reminisces about playing Super Monkey Ball from 8pm-8am as a middle schooler, and how later in life she opened an old jewelry box only to find two of her long lost memory cards solely dedicated to the first Animal Crossing. We also talk about the wonder of Madeline’s glorious adventure throughout Europe.

The rule of threes is absolutely in our favor for this episode because we’re talking about the legendary FPS and third in the series of Bungie smash hits for the Xbox family, Halo 3. We sit down with twitch streamer and overall wonderful human Stephanie Martin to do so.
Stephanie recalls waiting in line at a Game Crazy store for the midnight release with her brother and dad on her mom’s birthday, discusses kicking absolute butt in online multiplayer back in the day, and how she connected with two solid buddies all the way in New York and eventually joined forces.

Tony Hawk? Never heard of him! Plus, who needs the guy when you can fricken rule the world in Disney’s Extreme Skate Adventure (2003) for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. We’re joined by future world leader, often comedian, and current TikTok icon Anna Garcia to talk about it.
This game is rad as hell and we’re stoked that Anna brought it to our attention. On this episode she tells Conner about epic sleepovers at her best friend’s house during this game’s heyday, how much fun it was to create herself as a character and drop into the game, and even tells us about some magical place called Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum (it’s real freaking place).

WoW. What more is there to say? We’re finally covering a titan of video games with a titan of gentlemen. On this episode we’re discussing World of Warcraft (2004) with actor, husband, and cat dad Nelson Franklin. By the end of this puppy we’re confident we’ll have you saying “WoW” just like the rest of us.
It finally happened folks, Conner gives Nelson the respect he deserves by having him on the podcast which is the least he can do considering he brought Conner into the PlayStation family by gifting him a PS4 almost two years ago. Nelson dives into his past with World of Warcraft and discusses having to break it to his future wife that he was into Wow, talks about his general video game history, and briefly touches on a fond memory about filming Scott Pilgrim Versus the World way back when.

If your dog is named Whisky and he gets kidnapped by shadow-like spectres, you know things are gonna get frisky. This week we sit down with comedian, DJ, and famous cousin Ahsohn Williams to discuss Eric Chahi’s Heart of Darkness on the PlayStation (1998).
On this episode Conner and Ahsohn discuss being somewhat familiar with each other in college and having the universe reunite them years later in the LA indie improv scene. Ahsohn discusses how Heart of Darkness captured him as a kid, talks about how he loves characters with powers that are organic and com from within them, and how seeing a kid protagonist in a violent game like this felt new.

We’ve had one round yes, but what about second round? (you know, like the 2nd breakfast quote from the Lord of the Rings? …I’m sorry) On this week’s episode we’re discussing a groundbreaking game on the Nintendo 64 that brought our Pokémon to life. We’re joined by podcast host, writer, actor, and 209 standout Paige Elson to discuss Pokémon Stadium (2000).
Paige dives into the experience that was attending her aunt’s day care growing up where many kids lobbied for time on the group N64 and shares about her Nintendo experiences over the years. Regarding Pokémon Stadium, Paige and Conner go down the list of amazing mini-games, Conner recalls the struggle of going up against the most difficult battles using rental Pokémon, and Paige reminisces playing different N64 with her cousin and her mom.

Viva la Dance Dance Revolution! This week we’re discussing a game that is as well known by it’s name as it is by the sight of people playing it. We’re discussing Dance Dance Revolution with actor, writer, and DDR prodigy Nicole Lauria.
On this episode Nicole remembers her early obsession for a portable screen that she had for her Gamecube. Her and Conner also shout out the 90s fun zone hit “Discovery Zone”, Nicole discusses her PS2 simply acting as a DDR machine, and how years later she redeemed herself when she found a DDR machine in an unexpected place.
