You’ll never beat us with this one! On today’s episode we’re dropping back in the pocket, scrambling for eternity, and dancing our way to the endzone with the greatest video game athlete of all time in Michael Vick. We’re talking with the hero Carl Tart about Madden NFL 2004, quite possibly the most iconic NFL game ever.
Carl gets into how he got into comedy years ago by taking Second City classes, chats playing Madden 04 with his friends over and over during middle school, and how he took this game all the way back to Mississippi when he moved back. Carl is one of the funniest and most talented dudes you’ll ever meet, so be sure to catch his writing on the first season of Kenan, starring sketch comedy legend Kenan Thompson.

Who needs the Blues Brothers, Men in Black, or Ghostbusters when you can have the Elite Beat Agents? Normally we’re far from government shills, but in this case we make an important exception. This week we’re joined by hair titan and producer of Asian AF, Tony Garbanzos, to discuss Elite Beat Agents for the Nintendo DS.
On this episode Tony gives us an incredibly important recommendation for the best cookie in New York City and perhaps the world, remembers getting sucked into this game during his freshman year of college at San Jose State, and discusses how his background as a musician lent itself to his adoration for this game. Most importantly Tony considers forgiving Conner after he LIES to him about a sequel for EBA that does not exist. For that, Tony is a gosh darn saint.

Today, we officially begin our brand new games club with a nod to our own past. Last summer the first Call Me By Your Game co-op dropped with a 2hr+ long episode that covered TLOZ – BOTW and we thought that it was as good a place as any to start. The next entry you’ll see will be the very first game so consider this a freebie!
